Difference between the metal options:

.925 Sterling Silver Core – Sterling silver is a great choice for the core of this ring. This option is quite durable.

14K White Gold Core – Highest quality & most durable option. The entire core is solid gold. Some people love to have some gold in their ring, if this is you, then you may want to go with a solid gold core.

This all dark oxidized ring is part of the From Darkness to Light Collection. The finish of the ring begins all dark and over time transforms to be all light. See the 2rd to last photo for an example of how the all dark oxidized finish wears off making the ring the lighter natural color of the metals. On an interesting added note, this particular dark to light example photo is actually the same ring. I crafted it all dark for a fisherman, and it came back to me for resizing a couple years after being worn to that lighter finish.

Custom Message INCLUDED:

Want to include a custom message inside your ring? Just put the custom message you want in the “custom message box” at purchase. If you want no message in your ring, put “NO MESSAGE” in the box. Your ring must be at least 7mm wide to add a custom message. Please keep the message to 16 characters to ensure it fits. See the last photo to see examples.

John 8:12 – When Jesus spoke again to the people, he said “I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.”

This verse is the inspiration for this design, but the scripture and reference is not actually on the ring. I can hand stamp the scripture reference inside the ring if you would like me to, just put that in the “custom message box.”

Tips on sizing:

For accurate sizing, I highly recommend you have your finger sized by at least 2-3 different reputable jewelers in your area. Tell the jewelers the ring is ‘standard fit’, and what ‘width’ your ring will be. If your ring width is 7mm or wider, have them use a wide band ring sizer. I can do 1/8, 1/4 or 1/2 size increments to get an exact fit. I can make your ring any size up to a size 16. If resizing is needed, I can resize your ring for a $30 resizing fee. Keep in mind, it is much better for me to resize your ring later on to be larger in size, rather than smaller in size for several reasons.

Time frame:

Please allow me 3 weeks to handcraft your ring order. Message me if you need your ring order faster, rush service may be possible with an added fee.

Additional Information:

Please note, for any ring that has darker oxidation on it, oxidation levels and texture markings may vary from one ring to the next since it is handmade. Furthermore, the temporary dark oxidation finish will eventually wear off completely, making the ring the natural color of the metals. This can sometimes happen quickly, especially if one gets the ring wet often. Getting the ring wet will not damage the ring at all, but will wear off the dark oxidation at a faster rate. When choosing a ring with an all dark oxidation finish, please ensure you will be happy with the natural color of the metals. If you ever want your ring refinished, I can do so for a $30 refinishing fee anytime.

Please note, the colors of the rings in this listing appear different shades of color mainly due to the fact they were photographed on different days and natural sunlight was used for lighting. Also, due to the fact that oxidation levels vary from one ring to the next with them being handmade.

Added note about silver: The difference between “fine” silver and “sterling” silver is that fine silver is 99.9% pure silver. Sterling is only 92.5% silver with the remaining 7.5% being composed of other metals, usually copper. They look the same, wear & polish the same, but fine silver is more “pure” silver.
